KidSport Funding
Looking to register your kids for hockey, but worried about the cost?
KidSport Alberta provides grants to help cover registration costs so all kids aged 18 and under can play a season of sport.
KidSport Oil Country Hockey Assist Program (HAP) is focused on increasing access to minor hockey for families facing financial barriers in Oil Country (Red Deer County & North).
In the last two years of the HAP program, KidSport has funded over 3,000 kids into minor hockey programs across Oil Country, amounting to over 2.3M in registration fees!
Through the HAP program, equipment partner, Sport Central, has provided new and lightly used equipment to over 1,000 kids.
For the 2024-25 hockey season in an effort for the program to reach even more kids across Oil Country, it will be capped at $750 registration fees per athlete
